Mega Match-A-Thon

The Mega Match-A-Thon will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2012 and Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 11:00am - 5:00pm at the Washington Animal Rescue League located at 71 Oglethorpe Street, NW Washington, DC.

Adoption Fees:

$20 for Cats

$40 for Dogs

Dogs and cats will be available for adoption at WARL from 7 local animal shelters.  The Washington Humane Society, the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria, the Fairfax County Animal Shelter, and the Animal Welfare League of Arlington will also offer these special adoption fees at their shelters during the Mega Match-A-Thon.

Please come prepared to adopt.  Here’s a list of what you’ll need to bring with you:

• Please bring a government issued ID and proof of address if your current address is not on your ID.
• Cat Carriers will be available for purchase but you may bring one if you like.
• Leashes, harnesses and collars will be available for purchase but you may bring them if you like.
• Adoption fees will be $20 for cats and $40 for dogs at all participating shelters.
• All adoption fees must be paid by cash or credit card.
• You don’t need to bring every family member but make sure to discuss having a new pet with everyone playing a role in his/her care.
• You will fill out an adoption application and meet with staff to help ensure a good match. 

Dogs and cats from the following shelters will be available for adoption at the Washington Animal Rescue League during the Mega Match-A-Thon:
